System Restore not working- "Can't even create a Restore Point"- as says, "Error, no restore point created".
For the past week I've noticed that when I uninstall a program using "revouninstaller", etc... It can not make a restore point (as it normally does, before uninstalling a program). It's with other programs, also, which create an automatic restore point before initiating action. (I don't think I've ever been able to use 'system restore', except when I reboot, hit F8 and Fix my computer. Then I can usually restore (in the past- haven't tried recently). But this seems much more serious, if won't even create a restore point. Please advise? Tx, RolloMay. Hi, Based on my research, this is a feature of Revo Uninstaller, so it is recommended to contact the software manufacturer for further help, due to they are familiar with their product: Revo Uninstaller Pro - Support and Contacts Note: Microsoft provides third-party contact information to help you find technical support. Hello Alex, Thanks for your reply. I may not have articulated the "exact" problem, well. The problem is that, "System Restore"; will not create a "restore point", with "any" program (not just Revo Uninstaller-that was just an example). I can manually create a restore point, myself. Something seems wrong with System Restore. Additionally, I don't recall being able to use System Restore (at least in past 6 months); unless I reboot, F8, Repair PC, System Restore (then it works). This seems odd, that it "Never" works without running on boot. Any ideas? Tx, RolloRolloMay
